Plot Overview
Biochemist Dr. Dan Scott (Jack Kelly) has developed a revolutionary serum derived from the hyper-adaptive qualities of fruit flies, aiming to prove that living organisms can rapidly heal themselves from any injury or disease. Despite initial misgivings from his mentor, renowned surgeon Dr. Richard Bach (Albert Dekker), Scott decides to test the serum on a human subject: Kyra Zelas (Mari Blanchard), an unemployed woman currently dying of tuberculosis.
The serum works instantly, curing Kyra’s tuberculosis and rendering her nearly immortal. However, it also triggers a drastic, monstrous psychological transformation, stripping away her empathy and turning her into a cold-blooded sociopath. As Kyra learns she can consciously alter her appearance—including shifting her hair color at will—she launches into a crime spree, manipulating wealthy men, ruthlessly murdering rivals, and staying one step ahead of the law. Horrified by what they have unleashed, Scott and Bach must race against time to synthesize a counter-agent before Kyra’s reign of terror consumes everyone around her.
