Plot Summary
A gang led by Willis Newcomb and Bart Carroll is smuggling wanted American criminals back into the U.S. from Mexico—hidden inside oil drums transported by truck. When Border Patrolman Tom Sharper (played by Clayton Moore, later famous as the Lone Ranger) discovers the operation, he’s attacked and left for dead. Suffering from amnesia, Tom is later framed for a bank robbery committed by the gang.
Enter Roy Rogers, also a border patrolman, who teams up with Judge Cookie Bullfincher (Andy Devine) to uncover the truth, clear Tom’s name, and dismantle the smuggling ring. Along the way, Roy faces shootouts, deception, and a daring rescue mission—all while delivering musical interludes and cowboy charm.
