Plot Summary
Four volunteers—each with no close family ties—are recruited for a secretive experiment at the ECC, a government-funded environmental research center. They believe they’re participating in a study on memory and cognition, but in reality, they’re test subjects for a classified mind-control device known as the Brain Machine.
The machine probes their deepest secrets, dredging up trauma, guilt, and suppressed memories. As the experiment intensifies, the subjects begin to unravel—emotionally and physically—leading to violence, madness, and death. The ECC scientists, caught between ethics and military pressure, lose control of the project, and the film spirals into a bleak meditation on surveillance, manipulation, and psychological collapse.
